I used to drive to college with my friend, there are so many lots like that with cars out in the desert, I want to get a hauler and go along and fill it up. The biggest Opel GT parts place is in CA, I almost got one until I found the Z.

I dunno. Every time I’m out there I feel like “old Route 66 sure took its sweet time getting from Flagstaff to San Bernadino”. Between all the re-alignments, re-routes and zig-zagging? It must have been a long miserable trip getting across the desert to the LA Basin.

If you cross at Topock be sure to  notice “the original Route 66 bridge” which was re-purposed decades ago to carry all the natural gas for the Bay Area across the Colorado River.
